Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Lynn Gail Busse, 79, of Omro, died Wednesday, October 30, 2024. She was born March 27, 1945, to the late Arthur and Vesta (Tyrrell) Sparr. After graduating from Oshkosh West High School, she worked for Metropolitan Insurance Company. On June 29, 1974, Lynn married Randall Busse at Algoma Methodist Church in Oshkosh, and they lived and farmed in the Town of Omro. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she served on the Ladies Aid, taught Sunday School, and sang in the church choir. Lynn enjoyed homemaking, babysitting many children throughout the years, baking, gardening, scrapbooking, and caring for her beloved cats and other pets. Alongside her husband, Lynn was most proud of her four children and fourteen grandchildren; spending time with them was what she enjoyed most.
Lynn is survived by her husband of 50 years, Randall; her four children, Jennifer (Matt) Biese, April (Patrick) Parise, Eric (Soonja Kim) Busse, and Ryan (Aimee) Busse; her fourteen grandchildren, Jacob, Ali, and William Biese; Nathaniel, Christian, Aiden, Elijah, and Connor Parise; Adel and Lian Busse; and Jade, Avi, Ina, and Adrian Busse. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Debby Halterman and Sharon (Zach) Allen; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Keith Sparr; sisters, Patricia Muehrer and Carol Meartz; other relatives; and her lifelong best friend, Judy Seiler.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, 5355 Cty Rd. K, Oshkosh. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Jud Krohn will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon, with lunch served after.
