Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Gene “Geno” Malnory, 68, of Tomahawk, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, ten months to the day of losing his son, “Jabber”. He was born April 23, 1956, to Wesley and Myrna (Davey) Malnory.
For many years Gene played softball 2 to 3 times a week. He was a great pitcher and liked hitting home runs. If not a home run, he would make it to first base but getting to second was questionable; his mind went faster than his feet. Geno loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, he has a few trophies hanging on the wall.
As years went on his sons were his pride and joy. Teaching them his best hunting and fishing tips; he always knew where you should stand even if you were 2 feet from that spot. As they got older you could see Gene in the stands cheering them on in their choice of sport. One could say he was a man of all trades, teaching them how to fix this or that. As one knows as sons grow up, he got them out of a few “pickles”. Being a grandfather was his greatest accomplishment. Starting all over, teaching them his tricks of all trades. More games to go too, more cheering.
Gene was a man who followed his dream of moving to Tomahawk, reaching that dream even though it was short lived.
We will always here that chuckle he had and the love he had for the outdoors. Farewell, but never forgotten, you are deeply loved. Rest in peace and until we meet again, your love will always shine in our hearts.
Gene is survived by his sons: Zachary, Josh (Marsha), Tim, and Jon Malnory; grandchildren: Braxton, Carmello, Marcello, Wesley, Finley, Oliver, Ryker, Adrian, Nickeela, Emah, Paige, Ellie, and Oakleigh Malnory; brothers and sisters, Dave (Mary) Malnory, Rick Malnory, Julie (Wade) Smith, Lynn; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding Gene in death were his parents; a son, Jeremy “Jabber” Malnory; a granddaughter, Grace Malnory; and a sister, Merillee.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Laatsch officiating. Cremation will follow.
