Ryan D. Poss, 61, of Winneconne, WI, passed away unexpectedly Saturday January 11, 2025.

He was born in La Crosse, WI on June 19, 1963, to Kenneth and Diane (Hogden) Poss.

Ryan was a devoted husband, brother, father, and grandfather. He met his wife, Carol Poss, while they were serving our country in the United States Air Force. He then worked for Fox Valley Spring for 32 years before retiring last year. Ryan loved all things nature and water related, animals, and going to music festivals and camping adventures with his wife of 39 years.

Ryan is survived by: his wife, Carol J. (Johnston) Poss; daughter, Katrina Poss; stepson, Randy Kinas (Jill); brothers, Randy (Dawn) Poss, David (Gloria) Poss; grandchildren, Mariah, Hailee, Olivia, Penelope, Zoë, Charlotte, Elisabeth, Grant, Evan, Hannah, Maxim, Liliana, Logan, Cooper, Aleksander, Emma, Jace, and Dayton; and a large extended family, including many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Kenneth and Diane Poss; a brother, Douglas Poss; a daughter, Crystal Poss-Harris (Shawn Nordmeier); a stepdaughter, Gloria (Carl) Heinen; a nephew, Trent Poss; and a sister-in-law, Roberta "Bobbie" (Johnston) Dilallo.

A visitation for family and friends of Ryan will be on Saturday January 18, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, WI 54986. A service for Ryan will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home followed by military honors.

A joint visitation for both Ryan and Doug will be on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Dickinson Funeral Home, 401 Main St, Onalaska, WI 54650. A joint funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment to follow at French Creek Cemetery, Ettrick, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be preferred for the Wounded Warrior Project.
