Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Loretta Ruth Pelz Frank, 83, a native of Omro, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2025, ending a beautiful life of serving others as the hands and feet of Jesus.
Loretta Pelz graduated from Omro High School in 1959. In 1960, she married her OHS classmate Glen Frank, and had their three children, Tom, Garry, and Eileen. Their 60 years of married adventures prior to Glen’s passing in 2021 took them to a variety of places and presented Loretta with several occupations. These included legal secretary in Oshkosh; retail owner in Omro; homemaker in Cornwall, England; bowling alley co-proprietor in Omro; and Salerno Trailer Park manager in Stuart, FL. She and Glen especially enjoyed their 20 years of making bowling fun for the people of Omro at Omro Lanes from 1975-1995. Her primary mission always remained the same: taking care of her family and friends. She did it exceptionally well. Loretta brought joy and attracted friends wherever she and Glen landed. Her bright, engaging personality will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Glen Frank; her parents, Edwin and Coralie Jackson Pelz; her sister, Janice Taylor; and her brother Ronald and sister-in-law Carol Pelz. She was also preceded in death by Glen’s family: parents Herbert and Mabel Frank; and siblings Geneva (Art) Albright, Charles (Elaine) Frank, Robert (Lois) Frank, and Wilbur “Bud” (Betty) Frank.
Loretta is survived by her loving family: sons Tom Frank (Susana O’Connell) and Garry (Teresa) Frank; daughter Eileen (Stephen) McMullan; grandchildren Kristen (Will) Frank Sheffield, Alex (Megan) Frank, Ethan McMullan, Alana McMullan, Alyssa McMullan, and Aleah McMullan; and great-grandson James Frank. Her surviving family also includes brother-in-law Floyd Taylor, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, WI. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Borth Community Church (formerly Borth United Methodist) W304 Cty Rd D Berlin, followed by Loretta’s celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Borth Cemetery.
Any gifts given in honor of Loretta Frank’s amazingly well-lived life will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
