Eva C. Rausch, 92 of Omro, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 29, 1932, the daughter of Anton and Katherine Kersch. She was a graduate of Omro High School. Eva was united in marriage to her loving husband Donald A. Rausch on May 17, 1951, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Eva was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Omro where she served as a deacon, a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the choir. Eva also was a member of the Omro Women’s Service League and loved planting and caring for the flower planters in Omro. In the early years she worked at Wisconsin Axle in Oshkosh. Then she worked alongside her husband on their farm. Afterwards, she worked at Park View Health Center as a nurse’s aide. Later, she worked as a home health aide for many years before retiring.

She was a dedicated and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Eva was passionate about gardening and enjoyed canning. She also had her own greenhouse. She had a love of baking homemade bread and cookies.

Eva is survived by her sister, Antoinette Kusch; her children, Jess and Cindy Rausch, Jode and Terri Balsiger, Frank Rausch, Lisa Craig; sister-in-law, Carol Rausch; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Katherine Kersch; her husband, Donald Rausch; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Elizabeth Rausch; in-laws, Jack Kusch, Dick and Barbara Johnson, Ruth Johnson, Donald and Mary Ann Eagen, John Rausch; nephew, Rick Treleven; grandson, Cole Craig; and great-grandson, Anthony Barry. Eva was very devoted to all her family members and her Lord Jesus Christ.

A celebration of life will be held at First Presbyterian Church 955 N. Webster Ave. Omro, Saturday, March 15, 2025, with visitation from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Rev. Dr. Travis Shafer will be officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Rushford Cemetery.
