Jason Dorn, age 51, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, due to cardiac arrest. He was born November 30, 1973, to Don and Evelyn Dorn.
Jason was a 1992 graduate of Winneconne High School. At the age of 13, Jason started working at Holtz’s Supper Club in Winneconne. After Holtz’s he became a manager at Callahan’s Restaurant in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac. When The Other Place opened in Winneconne Jason became the chef and worked there until they closed. Currently, he was the chef at the Butte des Morts Supper Club, working side by side with his brother Zach.
Jason enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. His hobbies were collecting sports cards, needlepoint, painting ceramics, video games, and scratch-off tickets.
Jason is survived by his mother, Evelyn; brother, Zach; aunt, Dorothy Yaroch; uncles, Gary (Lorna) Yaroch, Bob Dorn; niece, Nicole Yaroch (Jason); great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, friends, his furry pals, Axel and Lucy; and a special friend and mentor, Mary Holtz.
Preceding Jason in death were his father, Don; grandparents, Mary and Clarence Yaroch, Anna Dorn; and several other relatives and friends.
Cremation will take place and there will be no service held.
