Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Jeanette “Jean” M. Maronn, 94, of Omro, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was born September 17, 1930, in Neenah to the late Edward and Clara (Tuttle) Walter. Jean grew up on her family’s farm in Mikesville, WI. On July 30, 1949, Jeanette married Loyal C. Maronn, and she worked side-by-side with Loyal farming and raising their family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, volunteering at the Omro Thrift Shop, and spending time with her grandchildren. Jean was known to many for her one-liners. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church of Allenville.
Jean is survived by her children, Suzanne (Tyrone) Tiede, of Menasha; Samuel (Patricia) Maronn, of Omro; Nancy (Lee) Noffke, of Land O’ Lakes; Peggy Krause, of Omro; Daniel (Tomoka) Maronn, of Culver City, CA; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, Jeanette was also preceded in death by her husband, Loyal, on August 31, 2015; a son-in-law, William Krause; two brothers, Donald and Neal Walter; one brother-in-law, and one sister-in-law.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Community Baptist Church of Allenville 6628 Hilltop Rd. Oshkosh. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Dave Eisley and Pastor Randy King officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Poygan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bearing Precious Seeds Ministry at Wyldewood Baptist Church in Oshkosh.
Jean’s family wishes to thank the staffs of Eden Meadows and SSM Hospice for all of the care and concern shown to her.
