Veronica “Vera” Henschel, 91, of Neenah, WI passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at LindenGrove Rehabilitation Center in Menomonee Falls, WI. She was born August 8, 1933, in Baileys Harbor, WI to Thomas and Mary (Gureski) Goss.

Vera worked for many years as an administrative assistant in plumbing, insurance and real estate in Sturgeon Bay, WI. In 1992 Vera married Marlyn “Marly” Henschel, moved to Neenah and spent a wonderful 23 years together.

Vera enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and swimming. She also loved journaling and kept a diary every year since high school. Vera was also very active in TOPS, the Red Hat Society, and St. Gabriel Catholic Church.

Vera is survived by her children, Keith (Margaret) Kiehnau, Colleen (Mike) Londo; sister, Anne Broehm; Marlyn’s children, Gary (Gail) Henschel, Darlene (Steve) Boegh, Rodney (Sue) Henschel, Tom (Patti) Henschel, Cheryl (Tom) McCutcheon, Mike (Donna) Henschel, Jim (Kara) Henschel, John (Laura) Henschel, Jean Hamilton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Along with her husband Marly and parents, Vera was also preceded in death by siblings, Mary Daubner and Tom Goss; stepfather, Eugene Czarich; and grandchildren, Kelly Kiehnau, Tyler Henschel, Rausheen Hamilton Henschel, Tanner Henschel, and Katisha Henschel Jensen.

A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church 900 Geiger St. Neenah. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 22 at 11:30 a.m. at the church with Fr. Brian Wideman officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Vera’s children wish to thank the Henschel children for the years of love and support shown to her.
