Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Paul James Rosenthal, 54, of Omro passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a courageous battle with ALS for the past 5 years. He was born on August 27, 1970, in Berlin, Wisconsin to the late David and Delores (Langeberg) Rosenthal. Paul married Dianne Zink on September 13, 1997, in Oshkosh Wisconsin. Paul was a 1989 graduate of Berlin High School. After high school he entered the work force in the glass industry. Paul's last place of employment was H.J. Martin in Green Bay as a glazier. He was a member of the IUPAT Local 1204 Union for 25 years until he was forced to retire due to his illness. He was a hard worker - he worked hard and played harder. He loved snowmobiling, motorcycling, boating, and just having fun spending time with friends socializing. He had fun until the day he passed. If you know Paul, you have at least one funny or memorable story to tell. He was the life of the party. His true pride and joy was his son Trent, he was so proud of him and his accomplishments.
Paul is survived by his wife, Dianne (Zink) Rosenthal; son, Trent Rosenthal, both of Omro; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Yvonne Zink, of Omro; aunt, Mary Kay (Lee) Poehlman, of Waupaca; sister, Margie (Vince) Bradley, of Omro; brothers, Gerald Rosenthal, of Wild Rose; and Edward Rosenthal, of Eureka; sister-in-law, Karen (Corey) McMullin, of Omro; nieces, Tracey Bradley, of Oshkosh; Lisa (David) McClelland, of Wild Rose; and Brandi Rosenthal, of Auroraville; nephews, Troy Bradley, of Oshkosh; Jake (Megan) McMullin, of Omro; Kyle (Elly) McMullin, of Oshkosh; other relatives and so many special friends that were just like his family.
Preceding Paul's death were his parents, David and Delores (Langeberg) Rosenthal; brothers, David and John Rosenthal; and a niece, Shana Rosenthal.
Paul's family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to various caregivers at ThedaCare Hospice, Froedtert Hospital ALS team, Team Gleason, and the ALS Association.

Paul was one of a kind guy for sure. He was full of energy, shenanigans, adventure, and was proud of his family. I feel fortunate to have have him and Diane as friends. Unfortunately we were out of town last Friday. I am happy we shared a drink together at Springbrook Tiki bar just a few weeks ago. Godspeed my friend. Andy and Dawn Kemps

My thoughts and prayers to the entire family. I have known Diane for years, through Steins, and met Paul at the gym years back. He had that distinct, infectious smile. He always had something to talk about, and was always with a crowd of people, reminiscing, until the end. My Wife and I just seen him last Saturday at EAA, at a friend's hanger. He will be remembered for all that. And his legacy will live on through all who love him and support the fight against ALS. our deepest sympathy, Jeff and Lisa Russell.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. Paul was always larger than life to me and a great friend to be around. I have many fond memories of grade school, high school and after we graduated. I feel bad that we lost contact as we became adults but I’ll definitely never forget the man. Again I’m truly sorry for loss and I send hope that you can all stay strong going forward.

I met Paul when he first joined 1204. I taught him as an apprentice. He was a good glazier and took pride in his work. Please accept my condolences on your loss. Rest easy brother.
