Kermit L.
Wiederholt, age 90, of Aitkin MN, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025, at his residence
in Neenah, WI, where he moved to the last few years to be closer to his
children. He was born February 4, 1935, in Aitkin, MN to Benedict and Lillian
Wiederholt. He grew up on a turkey farm In the Hassman area and graduated from
Aitkin High School in 1953. Later Kermit joined the U.S. Air Force working on
the B52 Bomber.
After
leaving the Air Force Kermit moved back to Aitkin to raise his family and work
on his family’s turkey farm. He also worked at the Aitkin Iron Works for 34 years.
Kermit could
make or build just about anything. Besides his many projects he loved building
RC airplanes and flying them for hours. Building and tinkering with them right
up to the end. He also built an experimental Dakota Hawk airplane, which he was
very proud of. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved to play cribbage.
Kermit is
survived by his sons, Kevin of Winneconne, WI; Ronnie (Cindy) of Bellbrook, OH;
Randy (Leslie) of Rice Lake, WI; daughter, Roxanne (Frank) Ronich of
Winneconne, WI; nine grandchildren, Tamara, Brandon, Shea, Sean, Tyler, Fallon,
Derek, Ben and Nick; seven great-grandchildren, Kendra, Wesley, Dylan, Juliet,
Mason, Gavin and Aspen; his brother, Jerome (Gert) Wiederholt of Prescott, AZ; and
a sister, Janice Fairchild of Aitkin, MN.
He was
preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Wiederholt; sisters,
Jeanine McArthur, Karen Fischer, and Jackie Sundholm; a daughter-in-law, Sherry
Contois Wiederholt; and his companion of many years, Alice Jenkins.
Per Kermit’s
wishes he will have no funeral service. He will be cremated and laid to rest in
Aitkin, MN.
