Jorge Bayardo
Tovar, age 88, of Larsen, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November
8, 2025. Born on September 17, 1937, in Villagran, Guanajuato to the late J. Jesus
and Eloisa (Flores) Tovar. Jorge lived a life dedicated to family, hard work,
and generosity.
Jorge built a
remarkable career at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, WI, where he worked with
unwavering dedication and retired after 43 years of service. His strong work
ethic and commitment earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Jorge’s
passions extended beyond his career. His mechanical skills never disappointed,
as he enjoyed transforming worn old cars into running treasures. His unmatched ability
to repair anything made him the ultimate handyman that could conquer any
challenge. Jorge found joy in gardening, often sharing his harvest with others,
and his loyalty and devotion to the Milwaukee Brewers meant he rarely missed a
game. Above all, he was deeply committed to his family and lived with a spirit
of generosity, always placing others before himself.
Jorge married
Luz Maria Alba on September 22, 1962, and together they built a loving family.
He is survived by the following children and grandchildren:
- Maria (Steve) Paglianti, of
Brookfield, and children Mariana and Selena
- Fernando Tovar, of Fond du Lac,
and child Kaylie
- Evelina Tovar-Karoses, of
Campbellsport, and child Andrina (Austin Baye) Shirley
- Mariluz (Alan) Kuenzi, of Larsen,
and children Vanessa, Rachel, and Sabrina
- Children of late son Jesus B.
Tovar, Lucinda Varga, Mathew (Maria), Angelina, and Antonio
He is also
survived by great-grandchildren; Samantha and Olivia Varga, Bryce and Alexa
Shirley, Zeni Calhoun, and Sienna Tovar, Siblings; Lorenzo (Dolores Mendoza) Tovar,
Jesus (Rosa Gasca) Tovar, Eloisa Castaneda, Fernando (Vicky Granados) Tovar, Flor
Esther Tovar, In-laws; Maria de Jesus Razo-Tovar, Mario (Sophie) Alba, Andres
(Martha) Alba, Jesus (Sandra) Alba, Jose Alba, Jessie Alba; and many nieces,
nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Jorge was
preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Luz Maria (Alba) Tovar, son Jesus
B. Tovar, Siblings; Teresa (Bernardo) Ortega, Evelina (Carlos) Leyra, Jaime
(Delia SanElias) Tovar, Eduardo Tovar, Rosalia (Leopoldo) Cisneros, In-laws; father
and mother-in-law Ildefonso and Rebeca (Rivas) Alba, Arturo Castaneda, Ildefonso
Alba.
The family extends
its deepest gratitude to the Town of Clayton paramedics, first responders, and
the dedicated nurses and physicians at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center of
Neenah for their exceptional care and kindness during Jorge’s final days.
A visitation for
family and friends will be on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12:00 noon to 1:00
p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A prayer service will
be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
