Ernest S. Stelmach, age 90, of Winneconne, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Parkview Health Center in Oshkosh with his family at his side.
He was born on July 18, 1927, in Arcadia, the son of the late August and Teckla (Filla) Stelmach. On November 28, 1953, he married Carol Lex in Milwaukee. Carol preceded Ernest in death on July 27, 2001.
Ernest proudly served his country in the U. S. Army Airborne and Merchant Marines and was employed as a union mason. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Winneconne, a long time Butte des Morts Lions Club member and a BAC 25 Year Club member. He always looked forward to Monday trips with his special friends, John and Rob.
He is survived by six children, Jeffrey (Carol) Stelmach of Arcadia, James (Colleen) Stelmach of Berlin, Jay Stelmach (Jacqueline Thompson) of Winneconne, Jacqueline (Douglas) Rude of Rochester, Minnesota, Jodi (Keven) Gottsacker of Eagle River and Joanne (Richard) Senger of Chanhassen, Minnesota; a sister, Elaine (Roy) Fried of Arcadia, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main Street, Winneconne and on Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Drive, Winneconne from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial, with military graveside rites, will be in Winneconne Cemetery.

I'm sad to hear of your dad's passing. We always had such nice visits.... especially at "the Pig". Such a pleasant man!
