Where Caring Is A Family Tradition
Denise Evone Carpenter, age 66, of Omro, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh with her family by her side.
She was born on August 9, 1951, a daughter to the late Louie and Gladys (McHugh) Fojtik. Denise married William Carpenter on June 12, 1971, in Borth. Denise and Bill ran the family dairy farm for over 20 years. After selling the cows, Denise worked as a cook and food service worker at Park View Health Center.
As their five children were growing up, Denise was an active leader in the Poygan Go Getters 4-H Club.
Denise will be deeply missed by her husband, Bill, of 47 years; five children, Ron Carpenter (Shelly Schry) of Omro; Bonnie (Theron) Coats of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mike (Sue) Carpenter, Dan (Jen) Carpenter and Joe Carpenter all of Omro; seven grandchildren, Alexandra and Rex Coats, Diesel, Kylee, Liz, Ryker and Cole Carpenter; grandpuppies, Cash, Timber, Max, Sneakers, Remi and Jasper; five brothers, Wayne (Bonnie) Nelson, Daniel Nelson, Mike (Karen) Zimmer, Joe (Karen) Zimmer and Andrew Zimmer; five sisters, Theresa (Bryan) Paulson, Anita (Jack) Bishop, Laura (Scott) Furlong, Heidi (Scott) Horton and Michele (David) Norse; two sisters-in-law, Mary (James) Thompson and Carol (Don) Parshall; a brother-in-law, Ken (Kim) Carpenter, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Waiting for grandma in Heaven was her grandson, Mitchell, whom she missed dearly, her parents, Gladys and Louie, Joseph and Alice Zimmer; her brothers, Lynn Nelson, Ray and Peter Zimmer; brothers and sister-in-law, Linda and Chuck Holt, and Ken Zeitlow.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main Street, Winneconne and on Saturday, March 31 at Borth United Methodist Church, W304 County Road D, Berlin from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastors George Groves and Rebecca Kindschi officiating. Burial will be in Borth Cemetery.

Always enjoyed our chats on the deck when Bill and Dee Dee hosted the grandkids' birthday parties. We will miss her stories and entertaining sense of humor. So glad she's in Heaven now and reunited with Mitch...I think she missed him a lot.

My favorite kind of people are those who are authentic and not fake. Denise did not have a fake bone in her body and I really loved that about her. I will be praying for your family.
