Wallace "Wally" Waters

Wallace "Wally" Waters, age 76, of Winneconne, died Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born November 23, 1933, in Oconomowoc to the late Harry and Norma (Labs) Waters. Wally served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and following his active duty, he served in the Army Reserves. On November 19, 1955, Wally married his childhood sweetheart, Vicki Kulpa, in Pewaukee, and they made their home in Delafield. For 38 years he was employed with Wisconsin Centrifugal, and after retiring Wally and Vicki moved on Lake Poygan in Winneconne. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, and especially entertaining family, friends, and neighbors in his garage bar. Wally was a member of Lord of the Lakes Lutheran Church, Winneconne, and the Giles-Luce American Legion Post 364 of Winneconne.
Wally is survived by his wife of 54 years, Vicki, of Winneconne; three sons, Scott (Karen) Waters, of Dousman; Gary (Mary Beth) Waters, of Slinger; Craig (Kim) Waters, of Hartford; four grandchildren, Katie, Matt, Colton, and Cal; one great-grandson, Cody; one brother, Larry Waters; two sisters, Jan Clark, Betty (Terry) Dow; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at Lord of the Lakes Lutheran Church, 6090 Harbour South, (corner of Hwy 116 and Harbour South), Winneconne, with Pastor Kevin Heffernan officiating. Military honors will follow the service. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
A memorial in Wally's will be established.
