Courtney Ann Elizabeth Stark, age 43, of Oshkosh, was embraced by God's loving arms the morning of Thursday, August 9, 2018. She put up a valiant fight with strength and dignity against a rare disease with loving son Brian, husband Mike, mother Terri, father Jim, and her dear Aunt Wendy by her side.
Courtney was born to Terri Drexler and Jim Pommerening on November 26, 1974. She was joined in marriage to Mike Stark on September 18, 1999. They were blessed with an awesome son Brian, born February 20, 1998. Brian and Courtney had an incredibly strong bond that nobody else had; they shared love, laughter, and amazing times together.
A graduate of Oshkosh West High School, Courtney was employed by the Fairfield Inn, Oshkosh; a job she truly enjoyed.
Courtney will never be forgotten and is survived by her husband, Mike Stark; son, Brian Stark; mother, Terri Foss; father, Jim Pommerening; half brothers, Bernie Foss, Charles Foss; half sister, Samantha Foss; and special aunt, Wendy Ann Elizabeth Baier. She is further survived by in-laws, Bob and Mary Stark; brothers-in-law, Jason Stark, Cory (Rachelle) Stark; loving aunts and uncles, Pamela (Maurey) Audette, Julie Drexler, Amy (Greg) Egner, David (Arlene) Ruddy, Jim (Vickie) Ruddy, Tom (Linda) Ruddy; and dear nieces and nephews.
Preceding Courtney in death was her grandfather, Charles (Mickey) Drexler; and grandmother, Janet (Merle) Ruddy.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, August 17, 2018, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Martin Luther Church 1526 Algoma Blvd. Oshkosh. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday at 5:00 p.m. at the church.
Courtney's family would like to thank the ICU staff and loving angels/nurses who cared for her during her two month stay at St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee. Their kindness will always be remembered. They would also like to thank the staff of Bethel Home for seeing her through her final days. A special "thank you" to Katy, from Aurora At Home Hospice, who helped us through her final hours.

Mike, Brian, Terri, Wendy & extended family, I am so sorry to read about Courtney's passing. I will always have fond memories of Courtney from when she was just a little girl to when she become a wife & mother; her greatest joys. Please accept my sincerest condolences. The cardinal that just passed must have been her preparing me for this news; may her spirit forever be with you.
