Kathryn Ann Tellock, age 90, of Oshkosh, died Monday, August 13, 2018, at Westbrooke Manor in Oshkosh. She was born April 28, 1928, in Fairmount, North Dakota, to Robert and Florence (Ogle) Stine, and was raised on a farm by her Grandpa and Grandma Stine. On June 13, 1943, Kathryn was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton, North Dakota. She married Marvin Tellock on September 23, 1950, and they raised seven children. Kathryn loved to sew, do embroidery, play cards, the Grand Ole Opry, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and travel; making many trips to Branson, Missouri, and to Rapid City, North Dakota to visit her sister Van and nephew Bill. Kathryn had an angelic voice and loved to sing along, whether it be at a church service, family gatherings, singing Christmas carols or the afternoon sing a longs at Westbrooke Manor. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Oshkosh. Kathryn loved her Holy Bible and went to it many times in her life to lead by God's holy word to get inspiration and give direction to her children.
Kathryn is survived by six children, Sharon Kay (Jerome) Pongratz, James Marvin Tellock, Pamela Dawn Luedtke, Sheila Lynn (Marvin) Luedtke, Maureen Faye (Kurt) Carpenter, Darwin Edwin Tellock; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph Tellock, Merle Tellock, Pat Tellock; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with her parents, Kathryn was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Tellock; a son, Robert Tellock; a grandson, Daniel Pongratz; a sister, a brother, and in-laws, Evangeline and Bill Orthouse, Kenneth and Kathryn Stine, Gladys and Robert Peerenboom, Delores and Don Doman, and Barb Tellock.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, August 16, 2018, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 1206 Ontario St. Oshkosh. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Paul Lidtke officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
