My condolences on the loss of your mother. I grew up in Kimberly and lived on 3rd street where Lincoln deadended. When I was about 7-8 I was carrying a bag of groceries home from Tidmarsh's when the bottom gave out on the corner by your house. Your mom saw this happen and came out and helped me clean up the mess and gave me a new bag and probably dried a few tears. Those were in the days when Catholics and Lutherans were not on the best of terms. I had hundreds of conflicting thoughts but one revelation on that day...from then on I realized that people of all faiths were kind and considerate towards each other. The lesson I learned from your mother has stayed with me since that day.
My uncle Bob Meulemans passed on Sunday and his funeral is also in Winneconne on Wednesday that's the reason I saw your mom's obit. Truly we must all have 'guardian angels.'
Keep the Faith.
