Louise Annette Beier, 67, died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Park View Health Center, Oshkosh, where she had resided since suffering a stroke in 2017. She was born June 20, 1951, in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of Eugene and Iola Beier. Louise graduated from Oshkosh High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree from UW-Oshkosh in 1974 with a double major in English and Speech. She continued her education and earned her first Master's Degree in 1978 as a Reading Specialist. Her second Master's Degree was earned in 1981 for Guidance and Counseling. Louise set up full-scale comprehensive reading programs in both elementary and junior high schools. She taught school for several years and also worked as a family therapist for many years. Louise volunteered at a crisis hotline and received multiple awards for her service. After retiring from counseling, Louise still tutored students. She loved gardening, her cats, and any type of crafting. She loved music and books. She volunteered for multiple organizations, especially when she could use her crafting skills. Her life was made full by her strong faith in God.
Louise is survived by her siblings, Renee Morris (Dave), of Winneconne; Margaret Beier, of Minnesota; Keith Beier, of California; Paul, Dean, and John Beier, of Oshkosh; Marie Robinson (Dana), of Oshkosh; Tony Beier (Nancy), of Kiel; and also JoAnn Beier, of Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Rita, Priscilla, Michael, and James.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the excellent care provided for Louise by the wonderful staff at Park View Health Center during her time there.
A memorial will be established in Louise's name.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, October 28, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until Noon at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at Noon at the funeral home.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I attended high school with Louise and knew her as a smart and positive person. Over the years I thought about her, she will be missed.
