Daniel "Digger" Nelson, age 73, of the town of Aurora, died Friday, October 26, 2018, with his family by his side. He was born March 20, 1945, in the town of Maine, Outagamie County, to the late Gladys McHugh. For many years, Digger worked for Radtke Contractors, and up until the end he was working for Treu Farms, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Digger was a well-known customer of the Four Corners Restaurant & Bar in Auroraville.
Dan is survived by his five children, Mike (Jaime) Nelson, Glen (Erika) Nelson, Tera Nelson, Dave (Julie) Nelson, and Tonya (Jay) Puls; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Wayne (Bonnie) Nelson; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding Digger is death were his parents, Gladys and Louis Fojtik; a sister, Denise Carpenter; a brother, Lynn Nelson; and a grandson, Landon James Nelson.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, November 2, 2018, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank the staff of ThedaCare for the care and concern shown to him, and to the Treu family for always being there for Digger.

Met Digger at the Treus when I hauled Pioneer seed around to sales reps always a likable guy fun to talk with
