White DoveWhere Caring Is A Family Tradition

Marion Lorraine Oleson

10/27/1934 - 12/15/2018

Marion Lorraine Oleson, age 84 of Oshkosh, peacefully passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Also lovingly known as "Grandma Pnut", "Grams", "banana", and "Grandma", she was born in Oshkosh on October 27, 1934, to the late Ezra and Lutie (Stiller) Coats. On January 1, 1954, Marion married Frank Oleson and she worked at the Winneconne High School until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Paasch, of Pine River; Patti (John) Beasley, of Pine River; Debra Maurice, of Omro; Lori (Wayne) Roemer, of Pine River; her grandchildren, John (Sara) VanBerkum, Jessica (Ryan) Krings, Sarah VanBerkum, Charles Maurice, Malissa (James) Perkins, Stephanie (Bruce) Williams, Kelly (German) Coronado, Shelby (Kenny) Wegner, and Paul Roemer; fifteen (and one on the way) great-grandchildren; her sisters-in- law, Bev Coats, Joan Oleson, and Mary Oleson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Oleson; a grandson, Justin Roemer; sons-in-law, Bill VanBerkum and Ralph Paasch; her special friend, Ed Wolter; five brothers; and two sisters.
Marion had a wonderful and loving sense of humor (with a perfect touch of sarcasm) that she thankfully passed on to her daughters and their families. She loved being surrounded by family and cooking for them, and she always made sure that no one was still hungry.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. Visitation will continue on Friday, December 21 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Waukau Cemetery.
We'd like to send a special thanks to the staff at Bethel Home and the doctors and staff at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh for the wonderful and loving care given to Marion.
"Don't cry for me, I'm in a better place" as Marion would say "Don't be so foolish".
If you wish please submit online condolences to muellerfuneralhomeinc.com.

Oleson family. Please accept our sincere condolences in the passing of Marion. I visited with her occasionally whenever I saw her at Bethel and once I even had my Mom with me. That was a special time for the ol'girls. Maybe they are visiting again right now....
