Dad. Yesterday was absolutely beautiful as we said goodbye. The outpouring of support mom and I received can't be put into words. Hearing the stories and seeing the sadness, and smiles of all the people you touched, brought comfort for me. You were and will always be the best dad, role model, and friend a kid could ask for. Enjoy the movies I sent with, rest easy and look in on mom and I from time to time. Love you with all my heart-Ryan.

I'm not alone saying Christmas 2018 was a rollercoaster of emotional highs and lows. We lost a good man. A husband, a father, a brother, an uncle, great uncle and great-great uncle - as well as a friend. Mike wasn't one to wear emotions on his sleeve, but deep inside was the huggable teddy bear we all know and love. And while we're sad he's no longer with us - it's only his physical presence that is gone. Because he will be with us in every memory we hold dear, every tear we shed, and every heartbeat as we carry him with us from this day forward. RIP, sweet brother-in-law, Mike. Happy trails to you - until we meet again! ~caj

December 27, 2018 The time of year when blizzards are the norm - and ice storms can be expected. Not on this day - it rained softly from dawn to dusk. You see, Mike passed away that morning and Mother Nature lost one of her favorites. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, trapping, playing golf, and a very good baseball player in his youth. Whether it was putting meat on the table, picking dandelions on his walks to put in a frying pan - He appreciated a stunning sunset and the warming sensation of a marvelous sunrise - more so the latter as he usually was up waiting for it. The rain that day can be explained away as just the unpredictable Wisconsin weather - Or could it be Mother Nature weeping for the loss of her grandest admirer. ~tjj
